Animoca Brands Raises $75 Million For Its Open Metaverse

Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based gaming software company, has raised $75 million to realize its grandiose vision for an open metaverse. Liberty City Ventures, Kingsway Capital, Alpha Wave Ventures, and others joined the funding round.

The amount will be used for strategic acquisitions and product development. The funds will also license popular intellectual property and promote the open metaverse. The company will focus on protecting digital property rights.

“Digital property rights represent a society-defining generational shift that affects everyone online. They will form the basis for the emergence of an open metaverse,” explained Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands.

The company pays great attention to digital property rights. Last year, she was named to the prestigious Financial Times High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific list.

Animoca Brands invests in hundreds of the world’s largest and most popular web3 companies. In addition, the company has a rich portfolio of products and subsidiaries that span the entire web3 industry and gaming platforms. Products include the REVV token and the SAND token, games like The Sandbox, Crazy Kings, and more.

Finally, a new $75 million capital raise will help the company push its ideas forward and continue to lead the blockchain revolution.
