Binance founder Changpeng Zhao is ready for big projects on Twitter. He wants to help Elon Musk convert the platform to Web3 format.
CZ spoke about such plans in an interview with Squawk Box.
Zhao said that he had many arguments in favour of investing in Twitter. He actively uses this social network.
“We want to make sure that cryptocurrencies have a place at the negotiating table when it comes to free speech. Our cooperation also has more strategic issues. For example, we want to help bring Twitter to Web3.”
The head of Binance added that many work tasks could be solved through crypto payments. For example, the issue with membership dues on Twitter.
Everyone knows that star millionaire Elon Musk is passionate about the crypto industry. Therefore, cooperation with Binance should not come as a surprise.
A recent report showed Musk is the author of the most popular tweets about cryptocurrencies. And the record-breaking tweet was a post dated March 24, 2021, when the head of Tesla announced that he allowed buying electric cars for bitcoins. True, Musk later refused BTC payments.
a16z is also in business
Binance is not the only crypto company interested in working with Twitter. Venture giant a16z has also announced its willingness to improve the platform.
And the work has already begun. One of the company’s top managers, Sriram Krishnan, posted a photo from the Twitter office in San Francisco. He wrote that he is ” temporarily helping Elon Musk and other wonderful people .”
