The entrepreneur compared the potential of this industry with applications for smartphones. Those were once also considered niche and were poorly thought out initially, but then they became the leading trend worldwide.
According to Siu, many blockchain-based games are now clunky, as the entire sector is relatively young. In his opinion, creating more advanced models based on the ideas of digital ownership, interoperability, and economic utility for the user is only a matter of time.
The businessman noted that metaverse gaming platforms and massively multiplayer online games would develop along with NFT technology. This is interesting for gamers due to the ability to trade items and take full advantage of the deep levels of economic design.
The co-founder of Animoca emphasized that many gamers say that blockchain games are not entirely convenient and understandable for them. However, over time, they realize the privileges of owning the rights to artifacts, as opposed to the traditional model where people only invest their capital, which they can never return.
According to him, users will get a new user experience if they understand how valuable and meaningful all this is, because it is their virtual land, their car, their personal items.
