Dubai Police Launches Blockchain Service For Issuing Lost Passport Certificate

The Dubai Police announced the launch of an initiative that allows you to obtain a certificate of loss of a passport within 24 hours using a blockchain service.

You can apply for a certificate through the Dubai Smart Police Station, the Dubai Police App, or the official website. The blockchain service cooperates with courts and other authorities to issue a certificate. This document is valid for 30 days.

At the moment, the service can be used not only by citizens of Dubai but also by residents and guests from the countries of the Persian Gulf, as well as diplomats. To obtain a certificate, you must provide a copy of your passport.

The United Arab Emirates continues to introduce blockchain technologies into everyday life to create an intelligent country and improve the lives of its citizens and guests.

In March this year, the Dubai Police released their first NFT collection of 150 tokens. This collection introduced three values - innovation, safety, and communication.

Last year, the Dubai police were actively investigating the issue of online fraud related to cryptocurrencies. The Dubai Police Education Program comes less than a month after financial regulators agreed to support the regulation, offering, issuance, listing, and trading of crypto assets and other related activities in the Dubai Free Trade Zone.
