Madonna Releases First NFTs

For her first NFT collection, pop culture icon Madonna teamed up with renowned digital art artist Beeple. A small collection consists of three videos in the provocative style inherent in Madonna. They show a nude CGI version of the singer giving birth. The project was called “Mother of Creation”.

Not so long ago, Madonna purchased one of the tokens of the famous Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, and then set her acquisition as her Twitter profile picture. Today, the singer announced that she started working with Beeple a year ago.

“We set out to create something that is absolutely and completely connected to the idea of creativity and motherhood,” Madonna said of her NFTs.

While these NFT videos may seem erotic to many, Madonna was quick to clarify that they carry a fairly simple but important message.

“The beginning of each video is, in fact, my birth. I’m doing what women have been doing since the beginning of time – giving birth to children. But on a more existential level, I give birth to art and creativity, without which we would be lost.” By the way, her collection will be auctioned by SuperRare today.

Meanwhile, artist Beeple announced ahead of the news of his collaboration with the pop culture icon that the new era of his NFT art would focus on “emotional connection and utility” rather than “runaway speculation.” Madonna’s NFTs touch on an emotional connection with oneself, with nature, and with technology.

One of Madonna’s three NFTs, dubbed Mother Nature, carries a lot of emotional weight through the audio. But in classic Beeple style, the visuals are surreal and unsettling. A distinctive feature is the result of a contrast between the softness of female forms and the rigor of a research laboratory.

The next NFT, Mother of Evolution, shows that even in times of chaos or apocalypse, rebirth can still happen. And Mother of Technology, the final NFT, offers a darker look at humanity’s relationship with technology.

According to the project website, the proceeds will go to three charitable foundations that provide urgent humanitarian assistance to children and women. By the way, the MoonPay crypto platform will also donate $ 300,000 to these three funds as part of its own NFT launch.
