MetaMask has announced a partnership with Sardine. Now wallet users will have access to the function of instant bank transfers of fiat funds to cryptocurrency.
For some users, the new feature may seem better than other methods. For example, there may be restrictions when paying for services through a crypto exchange or using a credit card.
Users can purchase 30 different tokens for fiat, and the amount spent per day should not exceed $3,000.
MetaMask tweeted that Sardine helps fight fraud. Sardine has a more detailed explanation on its website. The developers of Sardine have created a framework similar to that used by Coinbase and Revolut that prevents fraud.
The site also states that the development can detect 300% more fraud than other providers.
However, it remains unclear how Sardine will prevent fraud on a crypto wallet with a bank transfer, for example, if a hacker manages to get the private key of the wallet and deposit funds from the linked bank account. Sardine said the company would take full responsibility for customer refunds using its services, including instant bank transfers to MetaMask.
The fintech company has a good reputation. In the past, Sardine has raised $51.5 million in funding backed by Andreessen Horowitz.
