As part of the ORIGYN initiative, the UEFA Children’s Foundation and ORIGYN have teamed up to create a collection called NFT for Good . The essence of the collection is the creation of one-of-a-kind collectible football items that will have both a digital version and its physical copy . Items will be put up for auction – it is known that the first such item will be a judge’s coin from the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.
Urs Kluser, General Secretary of the UEFA Children’s Fund, shared the news, noting:
“We are thrilled to partner with ORIGYN to bring these important items to the world. On behalf of the UEFA Children’s Fund, we share a common vision of using next-generation technologies such as NFT to raise funds for children and global citizens around the world. There is no better collective mission.”
In turn, ORIGYN recently raised about $20 million in its latest round of funding – the project was also supported by a supporter of the crypto world and the NFT space, Paris Hilton. The company’s platform is dedicated to creating digital certificates of authenticity for the rarest real-world collectibles. As for the release of the first coin, in cooperation with the UEFA Children’s Fund, it will go on sale in the second quarter of 2022 in a collection with other rare digital and physical items, which will also be displayed on the Impossible Things platform, powered by ORIGYN.
Details about what other tokens will be presented have not yet been disclosed.
