Russian Analogue Of Instagram Introduces NFT, Cryptocurrency And Digital Avatars

Russian startup Lagooona, created to replace Instagram, is entering the web3 space. This news was shared by the project manager Alexei Tartykov.

Tartykov said that the project is developing its cryptocurrency, which is more likely to be a stablecoin pegged to the ruble:

“They will be able to pay for banners and various integrations by our advertisers. It will be possible to buy this cryptocurrency for rubles, and you can withdraw money from it to a bank card.”

In addition, NFTs in digital avatars and user profile photos will be integrated into the future social network. This is done so that Lagooona users have the opportunity to trade them.

A marketplace built into the application will be created for this initiative, becoming an analog of the popular OpenSea platform in the space.

After Instagram was blocked by Roskomnadzor on the territory of the Russian Federation, many enthusiasts began to create analogs of their favorite social network. For example, Rosgram, Sadnogram, and Lagooona. The latest social network has already been developed and is waiting for the implementation of cryptocurrency, NFT, and digital avatars.
