Sony Partners With Theta Labs To Launch 3d NFT

The Sony Group recently announced a collaboration with Theta Labs, creator of the Theta blockchain, to release 3D NFTs for its new Spatial Reality Display.

According to Sony, the electronics giant plans to release ten “Tiki Guy” NFTs, not only in 3D but also in 2D. Upcoming tokens are being created for Sony Spatial Reality Display (SRD), a technology that uses augmented reality and 3D enhancements.

The company shared a promo video on its Youtube channel, which also describes in detail how the new technology works:

“Our heritage of cutting-edge visual and spatial realities combines into an incredible optical 3D experience where detailed texture, high contrast, and luminosity combine to create a portal to another world.”

In turn, the executive director of the Sony Group Corporation shared this news, adding: “NFT is a great way to demonstrate the potential of Sony SRD.”
