Stranger Things Release NFT Collection?

Since the release of the latest trailer for the already cult Netflix series Stranger Things, strange things have really started to happen in the fan community. Attentive fans, like the protagonists of the series , turned to their detective skills to come to the conclusion that the streaming service is preparing an NFT-themed collection. And if their guesses turn out to be correct, here’s what you need to know.

If you carefully review the latest trailer with the announcement of the fourth season, you will notice a number of easter eggs . In this trailer, if you slow down the playback speed and pause exactly at 1:59, you will see a scene with 4 different timestamps (0:33, 0:52, 1:46, 2:30). A Twitter user and fan of the series claimed to have solved a puzzle that was hidden in the trailer. As it turned out, the timestamps indicate scenes in which different words are hidden. Indeed, if you put everything together, you get the inscription “I AM HELLS MASTER”. But what about NFTs? Many would stop there, suggesting that this is a spoiler reference to the plot of the upcoming season. But the Twitter enthusiast went further to provide evidence.

If you type this phrase into a Google search, you can find a site with a countdown timer and an inverted “ENTER” button – a reference to an alternate dimension (known as the Upside Down) or an invitation to the NFT dimension? At the time of writing, the timer was counting down to 17 hours. If you click on the button, the site displays a message:

“Congratulations on unlocking the clues and joining Candy Digital and Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 interactive journey.”

The site will also prompt you to enter your email address and then send the detective enthusiast an email that begins with a quote from Sherlock Holmes . It goes on to say that this is only the beginning, and very soon users will be able to dive into solving puzzles and receive various rewards for this. However, the only hint that the team is launching NFT is a collaboration with Candy Digital. Moreover, none of the parties at the time of this writing has confirmed their participation in this unusual project.

The first part of Stranger Things season 4 will be released on May 27, and the second part on July 1, 2022.

Candy Digital is an NFT marketplace that mainly specializes in sports collectibles. Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, along with Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz and Gary Vaynerchuk, launched the platform in May 2021. Some of the popular collections include baseball NFTs as the playground has exclusive partnerships with MLB and MLBPA.

Being familiar with the work of this platform, many do not understand the connection between the series and, in fact, the Candy Digital baseball project. All enthusiasts will just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow when the countdown ends.
