Representatives of the Swiss cryptocurrency bank Sygnum announced that they would open a virtual office in the Decentraland Metaverse. Inside the new digital hub, there will be a so-called CryptoPunk registrar, a gallery of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and a special event space featuring avatars.
According to company representatives, the virtual hub will officially open to public life on September 27, 2022. The bank’s management assured that customers will also be able to become users of innovations in the field of web products. The company will provide investors with a new entry point into the Metaverse economy.
Martin Burgerr, head of the customer experience at Sygnum, said the new metaverse center will be a place to showcase innovation in the Web3 space and allow its users to take advantage of the cutting-edge capabilities of so-called Future Finance.
The organization assured that they have considerable experience in the development of this industry. Burgerr recalled that his bank tokenized NFT Cryptopunk #6808, which will now become a Decentraland registrar. Other interesting financial products have also been developed. In addition, the company entered into a partnership deal with the Klaytn blockchain for development in the field of Web3.
Sygnum said it followed the lead of JPMorgan, which opened a representative office in Decentraland. The Swiss company expressed confidence that this approach is the next step for the development of financial institutions and will expand the range of opportunities in the banking sector.
