- Digital artist Beeple is building a real NFT gallery
- He wants connoisseurs to see his work on more than just tiny screens.
- So the author expects to attract a new wave of collectors
Famous artist Beeple has set himself an ambitious goal. He wants to take digital art beyond the virtual world. And for this, he is building a physical gallery in Charleston. As planned, NFT exhibitions will be held here.
“This will be a place not only for my work, but for the entire digital art/NFT community. We will be able to come together and touch digital works of art in real life. Viewers should appreciate it in reality, not just on tiny screens. I think it will help attract a new wave of collectors. Here’s what we need to get through this bear market…”
Beeple does not name the opening date of the gallery. But he said that the first half of the work had already been done, and the project was almost ready.
Recall that Mike “Beeple” Winkelman started the boom in NFT art. His work “EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS” was sold at Christie’s for $69.3 million.
With such popularity comes excellent risks. Hackers hacked into the legendary artist’s account in May and offered fans a fake NFT collection. Trusting users spent $440,000 in ETH on them.
