Nokia, one of the first manufacturers of smartphones, believes that the metaverse will soon replace smartphones. Even though smartphones will still exist in the second half of the decade, more and more people will choose the metaverse.
The company supports its opinion with the existence and development of VR headsets. Nokia Chief Strategy and Technology Officer Nishant Batra is convinced of this:
“We believe that these devices will come out on top in terms of popularity in the second half of the decade.”
But there are a few things that need to be done for this future that Nokia predicts.
For example, the efforts of technology companies must constantly be directed to ensure that the metaverse becomes a trend. The affordability of headsets is also an important metric, with VR glasses prices skyrocketing.
