The other day, Samsung organized an event during which it announced the release of two flagship devices. At the event, hosted by company director Shinwu Lee, two smartphones were presented, namely the Samsung S22 and Tab S8.
Such presentations by Samsung were always noticeable, and the products became expected. However, this time Samsung has teamed up with Theta Labs to raise the bar and introduce something new. As a result of the collaboration, the company will release NFTs for users, which they can receive after purchasing the devices. During the event, the director of the company revealed his plans to deepen his understanding of NFT, stating that it is more practical to communicate with customers through NFT.
Back in February, Theta Labs announced a collaboration with Samsung Electronics to create collectible NFT items for Samsung electronics users. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Samsung and Theta have collaborated on projects. However, this new partnership confirms Samsung Electronic’s interest in NFT ecosystems.

The collaboration of companies will bring many benefits to owners of Samsung electronics and NFT tokens. Users who reserved Samsung S22 and Tab S8 products during the pre-order period will be able to receive NFT tokens for free. In addition, users who sign up for ThetaDrop are also eligible to receive NFTs on their new Samsung devices.
Theta blockchain is a decentralized video streaming service that offers end-to-end data transfer between creators and viewers. The main goal of this service is to improve the quality of video streaming without any interference from third parties and provide a direct connection between viewers and creators.
This blockchain also offers technical and economic solutions for its users. For example, a user from anywhere in the world can seamlessly connect to the network. Theta Labs also operates ThetaDrop, an NFT marketplace where Samsung plans to create and sell collectibles that come with their new devices.
In addition, ThetaLabs has developed its ThetaDrop NFT marketplace based on Theta protocol, a blockchain ecosystem created specifically for the media and entertainment industry. And while the platform has been under the radar for a long time, its collaboration with giants like Samsung could improve the platform’s global acceptance.
In order to get NFT, you need to follow only three steps, which are described on the official Samsung website, one of the bottom ones involves pre-ordering a flagship smartphone. Pre-order users will receive a code via the Samsung members app on their new device. They will then have to verify the code to receive an unopened box of NFTs, which they can open at the end of the pre-order period.
