STEPN Has A Birthday!

Over the past few days, STEPN has been intriguing us with meaningful posts and stories on his social media. On September 1st, some surprise awaited all users, but the community could only guess what it was.

It turned out that STEPN has a birthday in September – the project has a whole year. Over the past year, the total distance covered in the application is 104 billion miles or 167 billion kilometers. It’s like flying from the Earth to the Moon more than 400 times. Just think about these numbers! And of course, the creators could not help but please the community with nice bonuses in connection with their anniversary.

STEPN Movement

They once again emphasized the importance of their concept with the slogan “STEPN is a movement”, which manifests itself in the following aspects:

To celebrate the year and share the joy with the community, the project is introducing the  #STEPNversary hashtag and is launching a weekly contest with a prize pool of 100,000 GMT to be distributed among the winners.

Week 3 (September 16-22). Burning burgers

Week 4 (September 23-29). Running Friends

If you have a running friend that you go out for a run with on a daily basis, you’ll be more likely to adopt a healthy lifestyle, right? Share your longest run with a friend or group of friends during the final week of the STEPN competition.

What do you need to participate?

  1. Post the screenshot, video, or photo on social networks (Twitter or Instagram). An Instagram story doesn’t count, only a post is eligible for the contest.
  2. Make sure to use hashtags that match the entire contest (#STEPNEMBER, #STEPN) as well as the specific week (#STEPNbeforeafter #STEPN1200 #STEPNburgerburn or #STEPNBRFF)
  3. Follow the results on the official STEPN pages in these social networks

Distribution of awards

Recall that the total prize pool is 100,000 GMT. It will be distributed as follows:

  • The top 20 participants in each challenge will receive 1,000 GMT tokens
  • An additional 20,000 GMT will be shared by those who manage to become the best in all four challenges at once. Thus, the total prize pool is 100,000 GMT.

Criteria for choosing winners

The best entries will be judged by STEPN Ambassadors based on the following criteria:

  • video quality (should be high resolution and good lighting)
  • content (something that is fun, engaging, interesting, and relevant to the theme of the particular challenge will be valued)
  • level of involvement (retweets, reposts, likes – your additional advantage)

The winners of all challenges will be announced on September 30th via STEPN’s official Twitter.

On top of that, STEPN launched its official YouTube channel to share video content.

Summarize

STEPN is getting in touch with the community and that’s great. After all, periodic innovation is not enough for the project to flourish. It is necessary to constantly interest the audience, and increase interest in the game. Such a monthly interactive contest is a great idea to increase the popularity of the project against the backdrop of falling demand for NFTs.

Of course, it would be great if this competition was held in cooperation with a major sports brand, this would be additional support for the project’s economy. But let’s hope that such collaborations await us in a different format very soon.
