The Crypto Space Agency plans to democratize space exploration with Web3 blockchain technology. The company has ambitious plans to combine space exploration and Web3 technology to accelerate the future of humanity beyond Earth.
While this statement sounds like something out of science fiction, the Crypto Space Agency has shared detailed plans with the community on how to achieve this…and it all starts with NFT technologies.
On Monday, April 25, the project announced the release of Gen-1 NFT Membership tokens , the owners of which will have a rare opportunity to become “cryptonauts” in future space missions. CSA’s space launch provider, Blue Origin, also confirmed its involvement with the Crypto Space Agency’s unusual initiative with a short tweet:
“We are delighted that the Crypto Space Agency has acquired a seat on the upcoming New Shepard mission. Looking forward to sending a member of this community into space!”
The company is actively following the concept of blockchain, which in turn is doing everything to democratize the financial industry. The Crypto Space Agency is taking this technology one step further in what they call the new “Cryptospace Age”.

The founder of Crypto Space Agency, Sam Hutchison, shared the details of the initiative. He noted that there are aeronautics on his team who are interested in the evolution of Web3 and how the space can come together to create something more. So it’s not just science fiction. Hutchison added that the crypto industry along with the space industry have similar goals, especially in promoting innovation for the greater good. Crypto Space Agency intends to lay the foundation for independent space activities by combining these two areas.
Space agencies serve only their own national interests , Sam points out. Therefore, his company intends to fundamentally change this by shifting its focus to egalitarian space projects that will benefit the global community.
“We aim to identify deep synergies between existing and emerging space technologies and blockchain capabilities. Our focus is on space projects with immediate and long-term benefits for Web3, whether it be communications technology, human space exploration, extraterrestrial resources, and more.”
In the short term, the project will focus on the study and search for extraterrestrial life, protection from asteroids and the development of the human spaceflight industry, and in the long term, it will explore the possibilities of using Web3 technologies to develop extraterrestrial space resources.
This journey began yesterday, when the company put up for sale 5,555 NFTs from the Gen-1 NFT collection. Each token costs 0.25 ETH. Token holders receive priority access to future NFT drops and merchandise, including art drops.
As early as this week, three token holders will be randomly selected by Blue Origin , including training and airworthiness assessment, and only one will be selected for spaceflight. However, CSA plans to offer more space flights to token holders in the near future. NFTs can be purchased through the Moonpay payment system , with the option to pay with fiat or cryptocurrency via MetaMask.
