Representatives of the company MBC (Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation) announced a partnership with the gaming platform of the metaverse The Sandbox. The leadership of one of the four largest national television and radio networks in South Korea has signed a long-term agreement on business cooperation with a crypto project.
As part of this agreement, MBC will launch the first virtual studio office in the history of television called Sangam and other digital production spaces with the help of The Sandbox developers. The goal of the program is to generate new unique content for users. The leadership of the Korean organization assured me that this experience will be of great benefit to business development.
Representatives of the digital Metaverse also noted that cooperation with the television company is a new milestone in the evolution of the project. The South Korean public is very well disposed towards the progressive space of digital worlds, and joint development can bring great benefits.
The Sandbox is already partnering with several South Korean companies, including local entertainment giant CJ ENM and major K-pop agencies SM and Cube Entertainment.
It’s not the first time MBC has turned its sights on the virtual world. Previously, under the auspices of the organization, The Masked Talent’s own digital avatars were released, and the Avatar Singer program, which is the first musical elimination show in the Metaverse, has been broadcast on the satellite channel for several months.
