Today we will talk about the most sensational team in the world of NFT – Yuga Labs. You will find out who is behind this name and which collections belong to the project.
Who are these Yuga Labs?
Behind the team’s core are 4 friends whose real names were revealed quite recently, but everyone knows them by pseudonyms: Goner, Gargamel, No Sass and Emperor Tomato Ketchup.
The faces were opened only by the first 2 creators since the second two are secondary in the team. The idea to create a collection originated with Goner and Gargamel, and No Sass and Tomato were invited by friends due to their lack of experience in blockchain programming. Below we show their photos. You can find a video with them here.

Crypto enthusiasts sold out their first BAYC collection while still students.
We will talk about it below.
Bored Ape Yacht Club
Probably, everyone has heard or at least seen those very monkeys that any person associates with the word NFT.
This is the debut of the team we are talking about today. A collection of 10,000 monkeys was launched in April 2021, each costing 0.2 ETH or about $600. After almost a year and a half, the minimum price for one such monkey is more than $150,000.
Now BAYC is, first of all, a status. Many stars own these Bored Ape NFTs, for example, Eminem, Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Ozzy Osbourne, and Jimmy Fallon.
You can see the collection flora chart below. Data were taken from OpenSea.
By the way, the most expensive sale of Bored Apes Nft Club took place at Sotheby’s auction – it was Bored Ape Yacht Club # 8817. The sale price was 3.408.000 dollars.
I don’t think it pictures for picture’s sake, the team has a Roadmap, and it’s pretty impressive; some of its parts are below.
Mutant Ape Yacht Club
A collection for those who missed the sweet spot, and the community appreciated it. The sale took place in August of the same year. 10,000 mutated monkeys, the cost of each at the beginning of sales is 3 ETH. The floor is currently $28,000. The team made $96 million in an hour. Impressive, right?

In addition, the holders of the primary collection were given sera, with which it was possible to create a mutated copy of BAYC. Serums had different rarities; in December 2021, the rarest was sold for 3.6 and 4 million dollars. There were 3 serum rarities in total: M1, M2 and Mega.

Below is the rarest serum and one of the MAYCs that was mutated with it. Currently, 10 out of 13 “mega mutants” have been discovered. One of them belongs to the co-founder of Ethereum – Taylor Gerring, who paid 888 ETH for the serum.

Otherdeed for Otherside
The most exciting collection. 100,000 lands, the cost of each at the beginning is 2.5 ETH. While the collection is trading slightly below its original value, it helped raise the team around $561 million. By the way, the project has its cryptocurrency – ApeCoin; with the help of this token that land was bought, the price in ETH is indicated on top for convenience.
What kind of land is this?
Yuga Labs have announced their metaverse. Each land is unique; some contain artifacts, some resources. Each has a different combination of environments. But for now, you can’t wander through them; all this will be available in later versions of the game. Many believe this will be the very thing everyone dreams about. The company now definitely has enough funds to create this.
A couple of months ago, they did a beta test for landholders. As it turned out, the game will be browser-based, which is a definite plus. All calculations will take place on the cloud, and a person with a computer of any power will feel comfortable.
Everything happened colourfully, and nothing slowed down, as many thought, although the online audience reached 4,500 people. An excellent indicator, in our opinion.
Prospects
Yuga Labs now seems to be able to do everything. Not so long ago, they bought the intellectual property rights from CryptoPunks, which will allow the holders of the collection to use them to their advantage, which was previously prohibited. The team did not substantiate their step in any way, but now the best NFT projects belong to Yuga Labs; perhaps it was just a “wishlist” of the company. This team is rightfully considered the best among the entire NFT space, and they are worth keeping an eye on.
