Major car manufacturer Hyundai announced today that it has partnered with the Meta Kongz NFT project to create a limited collection of 30 NFTs that will be released in May 2022.
In addition, Hyundai has set up a Twitter page for NFT-related communications, as well as a promo video of an animated Meta Kong driving a 1975 Hyundai PONY. The announcement included a follow-up Shooting Star NFT collection with the explanation that it was “a ticket to a whole new world” and could lead to “new NFTs”.
Earlier this year, the company spoke about the concept of “Metamobility” that is being developed. She is a robot that acts as an intermediary between the real world and the metaverse. In other words, the changes that humans make in the metaverse are reflected in the real world as well . This, according to the company, “allows people to overcome physical restrictions on movement in time and space.”
“As the metaverse becomes an everyday space for people in the future, the company anticipates the possible emergence of a new type of metaverse in which the differences between it and reality may disappear, taking a big leap away from the concept of VR as it is known to the world today.”
Hyundai has also hinted at a special “Hyundai Metamobility universe” that includes the release of various NFTs as vehicles.
In the meantime, Activision Blizzard is running a survey asking for level of interest in NFTs, cash games, and the metaverse.
One Twitter user shared a screenshot of a survey conducted by market research firm YouGov, which was trying to determine interest in various categories of “future gaming trends.”
Microsoft previously acquired Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, stating at the time that games would play a key role in the creation and development of the metaverse.

While companies are asking their users about their level of interest in NFT games, some companies are aiming to bring health data into NFT technology. HashCash Consultants, a blockchain services company, announced on April 16 that it has partnered with an unnamed UK company to create NFTs that include human health information.
The companies will partner with volunteers who want to migrate their data to NFT technology so it can be shared with healthcare providers.
The release provides an example of how this can be organized:
“If your genetic data were turned into NFTs, a traceability feature would be attached to the information. This would allow you to control where your data goes, track people who own NFTs, and find out if they are being used without permission.”
While the company uses NFT technology for useful purposes, one Sand Vegas Casino Club illegally uses 11,000 NFTs to raise funds for its casino in the metaverse. Regulators in the state of Texas and Alabama issued urgent orders to terminate the activities of this casino.
