Representatives of The Sandbox metaverse have asked the community not to click on any links on The Sandbox’s Instagram page, as their social media page has been hacked.
They also added that the platform’s security team is already looking into the issue, starting with account deactivation. The platform team has warned its users not to respond to messages from those who pretend to be the platform’s developers.
The Sandbox representatives shared this news on Twitter a couple of hours ago, so there are no details about this situation. However, while the platform’s security service checks, some users may have been affected by losing their funds.
Meanwhile, Twitter users have noticed that cases of hacking platforms in the crypto space have become more frequent recently. For example, a couple of days ago, on August 2, the Solana ecosystem was hit by a wallet hack. According to some reports, more than 10,000 addresses were affected, and the damage is estimated at $10 million.
The ZB.com exchange lost 4.7 million in cryptocurrency due to a hacker attack. The company investigating the case said 21 digital assets were among the stolen assets.
