- Mark Zuckerberg revealed the avatar of the new generation
- They got the full-body format
- Digital twins can participate in video calls instead of us and get a lot of settings.
Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the next generation of avatars. More precisely, the premiere was not held by the head of Meta himself but by his digital copy.
So, new avatars will get a lot of new options and features:
- A whole body (before that, they were up to the waist).
- The ability to add a digital twin to stories, messages, stickers and comments. This option will appear on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.
- Avatars become animated.
- With them, it will be possible to shoot Reels.
- Also, digital twins can communicate with other users via video calls (including via Zoom).
- Work on all devices, integration with the metaverse and various applications.
These options will be rolled out gradually. They will be fully deployed next year.
The company will soon launch the Avatar Store. It will be possible to buy virtual clothes for the avatar, jewellery, glasses, hats, etc.
Avatars can be customized to fit your natural body as much as possible. To do this, META will offer different settings – body type, weight, skin colour, hairstyle, and even wheelchairs.
Today we had another exciting piece of news on this topic: Microsoft is integrating Office 365 into the Zuckerberg metaverse to create “full-fledged offices of the future”.
