Ivy League Business School Launches Metaverse Business Courses

The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania announced that its Aresty Institute of Higher Education will launch a certificate program called “Business in the Metaverse.” This will be a paid six-week intensive course.

The Wharton School of Business has partnered with consulting firm Prysm Group to develop the course, which will include more than 50 lectures by educators and industry representatives and six case studies.

Representatives from Adobe, Animoca Brands, R/GA, RLY Network, Second Life, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal will join the course.

The business school professor emphasized that the metaverse is a vast phenomenon still poorly understood. With this initiative, the Wharton School of Business seeks to correct this situation and significantly contribute to education.

It is known that the first flow of students will start taking courses from September 12. They will spend 8-10 hours a week on training. Tuition will be $4,500. The Wharton School of Business was the first Ivy League institution to offer a course in the Metaverse.

The school will accept payment in cryptocurrency. Like last year, she launched the course “The Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets.”

In addition, Wharton offers a free lesson on cryptocurrencies. You can take it on the Coursera website.

According to business school professors, by 2030, the Metaverse market will be $13 trillion with 5 billion users.
