Web3 game developer tool provider, Ready Games, will launch a new ecosystem that will allow Web2 game developers to explore the possibilities of Web3 and move into the new space with minimal time and expense while continuing to distribute new games traditionally.
The company shared the news on Friday, also announcing the launch of the AURA token and a set of developer tools specifically designed to translate mobile Web2 games to Web3 by the rules of the Apple and Google app stores. According to Ready Games, this process took five days in the alpha version of the ecosystem.
“The ability to quickly integrate a shared utility token – $AURA – allows developers to seamlessly launch a Web3 compliant game and immediately see how Web3 games can benefit their gaming portfolio,” the press release says.
In addition, the new initiative will help artists create and upload styles and gadgets to buy and trade in Ready games, while players will be rewarded “indirectly.” Some major gaming guilds such as SnackClub have also partnered with the company. Ethan Kim, co-founder, and partner of Hashed, also confirmed the partnership:
“We are excited to partner with Ready to build the leading Web3 mobile gaming and user-generated content ecosystem. Along with Ready’s ability to seamlessly connect a wide range of games and content, their deep understanding of developers, creator communities, and players will accelerate the mainstream adoption of blockchain-based games.”
The company drew attention to the fact that blockchain-based games are not banned in the Apple and Google app stores. Providers of such games must comply with the rules, including the receipt of a commission by game providers from any NFT-supported in-game purchases. And developers, in turn, should avoid referring to external means of acquiring in-app assets.
