This Tuesday, Adobe released a new set of tools designed to make it easier to create 3D digital objects for video games and the Metaverse.
The company has long focused on the 2D imaging market. Adobe tried to maintain its dominant position by spending about $20 billion to buy its competitor Figma.
In recent years, Adobe has heavily invested in creating 3D content, focusing on the rapid development and popularization of the metaverse.
The development of the metaverse requires the creation of many three-dimensional objects, but until now, artists have felt the complexity of this direction.
With the “3D Capture” tool, Adobe makes it easy to create objects. Now you can photograph the object and convert it to 3D. The company claims that the photo can be taken even with a smartphone. This approach can be applied in the virtual fitting of clothes and shoes.
The second tool will allow you to switch from a computer to a virtual reality headset when creating 3D objects. And this process will resemble clay modeling.
