Representatives of the Gate.io cryptocurrency exchange announced the conclusion of a partnership agreement with the Metacity project team. This digital platform was created with the participation of Avril Lavigne, Ian Somerhalder, Russell Simmons, MasterMinds of Hip-Hop, Olivia Palermo, and other stage stars and show business stars. The metaverse project, among other things, became a partner of 6 more blockchain startups.
They included several projects at once that are developing virtual worlds and creating non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Among them: Gate NFT platform, LooksRare marketplace, MultiverseDAO, iNFTSpace, TwitterScan, and Xiao.
The developers said: MetaCity is a project of the metaverse of the Tokyo incubator Tlabs. It has been gaining immense popularity since punk rock star Avril Lavigne, and The Vampire Diaries lead actor Ian Somerhalder announced their involvement with the startup.
A representative of the LooksRare marketplace assured us that the bear market is ideal for testing the creativity and strength of the project participants. Co-founder Xiao-i said it’s time to look to the future, and Metacity is perfect. The product will combine the real and virtual worlds, changing the daily life of society.
According to the developers, MetaCity has taken a new approach to the business model. All celebrities are co-authors of the project, according to the agreements. The stars are interested in developing the platform and strive to create content, as well as participate in developing spaces and events in MetaCity 3D.
